A Cariad Life
“Cariad” means “love or darling” in Welsh (my grandfather was Welsh and even now I can hear his accent)–it is a term of endearment for those you love.
When we know we are loved, supported, and cared for, we approach life differently–we can love others, we can give generously, and we look for joy–we are whole-hearted.
Living life loved has made me an explorer, adventurer, and dreamer…I turned 50 this year, and I am blessed to have already lived an amazing life–moving across the country with my family and across the world with my husband (running a B&B in France!) I have worked for others and for myself–I have dreamed and experienced those dreams. All with a loving and supportive family and home.
This blog is about how I experience life–food, music, art, culture, relationships, and what I am learning about myself. It is about the dreams I have for the things still yet to be explored and how to fully live this beautiful gift of life.
“Fifty isn’t the middle, or three quarters of the way through. It’s not the end, or the final part. It’s having a clear conscience, standing back from your achievements, it’s a sum of experiences, a round figure, and a door opening out on to a street full of things you still haven’t explored.” Mylene Desclaux
